Step 1) The Migration
We start by moving everything over from Mailchimp to Klaviyo.
The process is simple, but it's very easy to mess up.
There are a lot of moving parts and you have to be very careful when you're moving everything over.
If you do this step wrong, you risk landing your email list in the spam folder.
And when you land in the spam folder, your email revenue will plummet down to zero.
Getting out of the spam folder is possible, but it's extremely difficult and takes a lot of time.
You don't want to deal with that, so make sure you perform your migration correctly.
Here's how we successfully migrate clients from MailChimp to Klaviyo:
First, we integrate their ecommerce platform with Klaviyo.
We have an in-depth QA process to make sure all metrics and data are properly connected.
After that, we'll integrate Mailchimp with Klaviyo.
Before we pull any data into Klaviyo, we'll clean your list and get rid of any bad profiles (inactive, unengaged, spam traps, etc.).
This will help make sure you stay out of the spam folder.
Then we'll pull all of your previous email metrics, existing lists, and more from Mailchimp into Klaviyo.
After the syncing is complete, we'll review and QA the Mailchimp data and make sure everything is good to go.
Step 2) The Foundation
Once the migration is successfully complete, we'll build out an entire suite of new email automation.
To create the automation strategy, we look at your previous data from Mailchimp and use our best practices that we've developed after generating millions of dollars in email revenue for clients.
We'll build out a new email capture system and welcome series email sequence to convert more site visitors into buyers
We'll create multiple abandoned cart sequences targeting customers and non-customers differently.
By sending more targeted abandoned cart emails, we can get more specific and convert more sales.
